$40.00

Simple depiction of the first Israelites led by Moses walking through the wall of water on dry land. After the Lord parted the waters of the Red Sea, the Egyptians obstinately pursued the newly freed Israelites. But the Lord was their help and their shield - as He is for all of those who call upon Him. The Lord cast “a glance” at the Egyptians which terrified them (Exodus 14:24). The depiction of the Eucharist in the artwork represents this glance, reaching all the way back to where the Egyptians cannot be seen, and functions as the protective Presence for the Israelites. It calls to mind the description of Jesus Christ in Revelation 1: “…His face was like the sun shining in full strength.”

Let this artwork serve as reminder that power belongs to God, who by a mere glance can change the most difficult of situations. Let it draw you to His Presence in the Blessed Sacrament; as it is written: “with God we shall do valiantly; it is He who will tread down our foes” (Psalm 60:12).
