"And Now I See" (Original Art)
Original Soft Pastel Painting on UART 320 Paper, 18 x 24 in
This pastel painting depicts soon-to-be-saint Blessed Carlo Acutis gazing at the Eucharist. His eyes are full of love, in a way that thoroughly believes in Him...an "I get Him, and He has me."
Catholics, like Blessed Carlo, believe that when Jesus said "this is My Body...this is My blood..." at the Last Supper, He meant it, fulfilling the annunciation of the first Mass in John 6 when He said, "unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you." Following this life-giving teaching of the Messiah, Blessed Carlo called the Eucharist his "highway to Heaven" and evangelized others about the truth of the Eucharist - even building a multi-lingual website that showcases multitudes of Eucharistic miracles around the world.
Let this artwork serve as a stationary reminder that The Lord looks at you…and waits for you to behold Him...place it in a spot that will remind you to adore Him and receive the strength you need.
