"Road to Emmaus - Concept 1" (Giclée Print)

from $40.00

Archival reproduction of a soft pastel work that was completed on Canson paper. Fine art paper is museum-grade, 100% cotton, and slightly textured.

“They recognized Him in the breaking of the bread.” We come to recognize Jesus face-to-face in the Eucharist - during the Mass, and during Eucharistic Adoration. The two disciples on the road to Emmaus were talking about Jesus, but failed to believe in the Resurrection. Often, things happen in life that we think “cannot” be changed…we write off people as “that’s just how they are” or situations as “this is how it’s going to be.” Does God settle? And if not - why should we? From God’s lips: “Is anything too hard for the Lord” (Genesis 18:14); “For nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37) ,to our ears. Let this artwork serve as a reminder to walk and talk with Him…not just about Him. Real transformation that God wills in us, our families, our parishes, and our communities starts with being in His Real Presence, actively engaged in the most real relationship.
